Christelle Jammar

Christelle Jammar, holding a Bachelor of Biology (2020) and a Master of Science in Marine and Lacustrine Science and Management (2022) from Ghent University, is a marine ecologist dedicated to understanding how human activities shape coastal ecosystem functioning. Her research focuses on macrobenthic communities and their role in marine ecosystems. Christelle is responsible for monitoring benthic biodiversity in several areas of the Belgian Part of the North Sea, including the Princess Elisabeth Island concession zone, the Westdiep Sea Farm, and the Fisheries Exclusion Zone. Her work involves field sampling, species identification, and data analysis to assess the impacts of human activities on ecosystem functioning.
