Thomas Kerkhove obtained his Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Marine Biology and Conservation (EMBC) and completed his PhD in Biology in 2020 at Ghent University. Having studied and worked in Belgium, France and Suriname, he recently joined the RBINS team to work on the Horizon2020 project UNITED. For this project he assesses the environmental impacts of marine multi-use, and he is involved in a pilot study on the restoration of European flat oyster reefs within the Belgian offshore wind farms.
