Nils Lucas Jacobsen

Nils Lucas Jacobsen holds a master’s degree in Marine Biology and has a strong interest in benthic ecology and the intersection of scientific research and technology.

He is involved in various monitoring programs such as the Marine Strategy Framework Directive and the Habitats Directive. In this framework, he is exploring technologies to improve upon existing monitoring protocols, including photogrammetry and automated image-annotation pipelines.

Moreover, Nils is a technical scientific diver, diving with mixed gases and closed-circuit rebreathers, collecting samples and recovering equipment in support of numerous projects.
