Alain Norro (PhD in Sciences 1995 University of Liège-Belgium) is a physicist & oceanographer with a strong experience in underwater acoustics. He studies the underwater ambient sound and the emission of sound that may result from antropogenic activities at sea, e.g. the construction and operation of marine renewables. He is an OC & CCR diving instructor and a professional diver. He founded and now manages the sector of scientific diving in Belgium and participates in numerous training and sampling cruises all along the year.
