Brecht Stechele is a marine biologist and engineer specializing in marine biogenic habitat restoration. He holds a Master’s in Environmental Engineering, a Master’s in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation and a PhD in Bioscience Engineering. His interdisciplinary expertise spans offshore aquaculture, bivalve hatchery technology, marine biogenic habitat restoration, ecological modeling, integrating science and practice to support marine ecosystem recovery.
