Laurence Vigin graduated as a Master in physical geography at UCL and as a Master in environmental technologies at the KUL Leuven. Within the Institute of Natural Sciences, she has experience in cartography, marine spatial planning, geospatial data processing and GIS support. She works with the MARECO team studying environmental impacts of offshore wind farms, in this role she was involved with mapping and analysing marine data. She is a member of the Geocell team, a group of geographical experts, devoted to the upwards validation of the data (legal aspects, topological and geographical consistency), their full description according to established standards (ISO 19115) and the maintenance of the geoportal http://www.marineatlas.be/.
