Mirta Zupan
Mirta Zupan (BSc in Marine Studies, University of Queensland, Australia; international MSc Marine Biodiversity and Conservation, EMBC+) is a marine ecologist passionate about protecting the ocean and curious in finding out how human activities at sea and nature conservation can work together. She is currently undertaking a PhD at Ghent University and at RBINS, where she is involved in the Offshore Wind Farms & Habitats Directive project (OWF-HD). The main goal of the project is to understand how offshore wind farms affect biodiversity, and how they can contribute to the creation of suitable habitat for species and communities.
